Cairo board approves multiple routine budget, equipment and hiring resolutions; several items tabled

• Resolution No. 2024-133 — Approve Abstract #306 payables and prepaids totaling $214,305.97 across funds (General $99,988.64; Highway $37,176.22; Water $60,629.45; Street Lighting $5,286.18; Sewer $9,803.86; Trust & Agency $1,421.62) (Ayes: Watts, Bogins, Cords).
• Resolution No. 2024-134 — Increase short-term disability options (ShelterPoint Option 1 adopted) (Ayes: Watts, Bogins, Cords).
• Resolution No. 2024-135 — Approve Huber Enterprises to install wall-mount heat/AC units in the Ambulance Building for $3,800 (Ayes: Watts, Bogins, Cords).
• Resolution No. 2024-139 — Approve Highway Department purchase of a Tifermec MDL450 boom mower with flail cutting head for $16,788 (Ayes: Watts, Bogins, Cords).

Items the board did not finalize at the meeting:
• Resolution No. 2024-136 — Approve contractor for demolition of 460 Main Street: two bids were listed but the award and dollar amount were left blank in the record and the resolution was TABLED.
• Resolution No. 2024-138 — Approve hiring part-time assessor clerk: TABLED.
• Resolution No. 2024-141 — Hire full-time Justice Court Office Administrative Assistant (Vincenzina Carl): TABLED.
