East Rockhill supervisors approve $719,743 bills, authorize Public Works building change orders and lease to Troop 79

At its July 22 meeting the East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors approved $719,743.01 in bills, authorized about $13,308 in net change orders for the new Public Works maintenance building and approved a lease of the Centennial Park house and barn storage to Troop 79.
The East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors on July 22 approved payment of the bills list dated July 18, 2025 totaling $719,743.01 and authorized several changes to the ongoing Public Works maintenance building project.
Supervisor Dave Nyman moved and Supervisor Jim Nietupski seconded approval of the bills; the motion passed with all present voting in favor. Township Manager Marianne Hart Morano presented change orders for the Public Works maintenance building, which the board authorized in a single motion. The authorized adjustments include $3,405.00 to Yates Electrical Service for additional CAT lines; $5,870.91 to Gordon H. Baver, Inc., to add bathroom cabinets and a door between the locker area and break room; a credit of $1,558.00 from Integrity Mechanical to remove a shower; and $5,590.33 to Gordon H. Baver, Inc. to convert electricity for 11 garage doors to 3-phase. The net effect of those items is $13,308.24 in additional contract value.
The board also authorized a lease of the Willard H. Markey Centennial Park house and the adjacent barn's enclosed storage area to Troop 79 as presented. That motion was moved by Supervisor Jim Nietupski, seconded by Supervisor Dave Nyman, and approved unanimously.
Public Works Director Jeff Scholl provided an activities report as of July 17, 2025; the board approved the report. Manager Hart Morano's full report and the police and department reports referenced at the meeting are on file with the township.
The board moved into an executive session on potential real estate acquisition following the meeting; no decisions from that session were reported at adjournment.
