Staff clarified that some detection beyond the immediate intersection — described by Rhythm as an optional "Cyclops" sensor — would not be included in Rhythm’s base bid and would carry additional costs if added.
The committee’s procedural next step is to send the recommendation to the Ways and Means Committee; council will make the final procurement decision and any contract would be contingent on the budget and subsequent contract negotiations.
