Interboro SD honors long‑serving staff and student achievers

Interboro School District recognized several longtime employees and dozens of students during its April 1, 2026 meeting, with tributes to staff members marking three decades of service and presentations celebrating athletic and leadership accomplishments.

A staff member who spoke at the meeting praised Dean Beckett, saying he has "challenged students to think deeply, compete with integrity, and represent our school with pride," and highlighted his work advising the High Q team and supporting school culture. An administrator later noted that other honorees are planning to use retirement to travel and spend more time with family.

Presenters celebrated a series of 30‑year milestones. A speaker described "Sandy" as more than an ELA teacher: "She has been a constant source of support, connection for both our students and our staff," and credited her with sponsoring student activities and building enduring relationships. Krista Resnick received recognition for 30 years teaching mathematics and sponsoring clubs that encourage critical thinking and student leadership.

Student achievements were also a focus. The district announced athletic honors across multiple sports, including district placings in swimming and a state silver medal in diving. The presenter named several student leaders for the class of 2026 and introduced student council officers. An administrator announced that Ethan Heinrich earned Eagle Scout recognition, noting the award's leadership and merit‑badge requirements and citing the completion date given in the meeting as 04/01/2026.

Speakers repeatedly credited staff members’ day‑to‑day dedication for the district’s school culture. The chair recessed the meeting for photos before returning to the public agenda.

The recognitions were presented as part of the board meeting and did not in themselves enact policy or administrative changes; they were ceremonial acknowledgments of service and student success.
