The Ogemaw County board voted to keep its current officers and approved liaison appointments to county boards and commissions for calendar year 2026. Chair (voice S3) opened nominations and a motion to retain the existing lineup carried after a roll-call vote.
Commissioners then considered a resolution assigning commissioners as liaisons to various boards. Discussion centered on a change to the building-security liaison and on a resignation from the Wellvans Board. Committee member (voice S6) said the Wellvans vacancy had been formally tendered and encouraged interested residents to apply, noting the board would accept applications and consider a replacement.
A motion to approve the 2026 liaison list, with the change that Commissioner (voice S4) assume building-security responsibilities, passed by voice vote. Commissioners also confirmed that liaison meetings are posted and that quarterly schedules will be circulated.
The board handled the consent agenda items covering A–C together and deferred item E for further adjustment. No public comment was offered during the vote. The board noted it will publish the finalized liaison schedule and seek applicants for the Wellvans vacancy.
