Council appoints and swears in Lynn Chatterton to fill vacancy

The council reviewed letters of interest and heard brief remarks from Chatterton, who said she has lived in town for six years and previously lived in Park City. After a motion and a second, the council voted in favor of Chatterton's appointment; the vote was recorded as unanimous.
Mayor/Chair (chair) welcomed Chatterton to the table following the swearing-in ceremony. Council staff said the appointment runs through the remainder of the term (about two years), and Chatterton is free to run for the seat in the next election.
The appointment was procedural; council members did not attach conditions to Chatterton's service. The registry of formal actions will reflect the unanimous approval and the scheduling of an oath of office to be completed at the meeting.
