Chadron council passes ordinance fixing handicapped‑parking language

City Clerk Katie Parks explained that, when the ordinance was originally enacted, two paragraphs were combined and given an incorrect paragraph title though the substantive information remained intact. Councilmember Mark Graves introduced Ordinance No. 1447. Councilmember Clay Andersen moved to suspend the statutory rules so the ordinance could be considered and passed at the same meeting; the motion was seconded by Councilmember Kevin Oleksy and carried unanimously. A subsequent motion for final passage was seconded by Councilmember Shane Shepherd and also carried on roll call.
The ordinance amends Chapter 16, Section 16‑334 of the Municipal Code and directs publication and the time when it will take effect as stated in the ordinance text.
