The City of Chadron on May 18 approved a $286,115.50 low bid from Infinity Construction for the East 6th Street (Cedar Street to Spruce Street) improvement project.
Dustin Glass, Street Superintendent, reported the City received four bids and that Infinity Construction was the low bidder; he told the council the company expects to begin work after Fur Trade Days. The council accepted a recommendation letter from Adam Vath, P.E., with M.C. Schaff & Associates, Inc., and authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the contract.
Councilmember Kevin Oleksy introduced Resolution 2026‑39; Councilmember Mark Graves seconded. The roll‑call vote was unanimous.
The resolution waives formalities in bid opening and directs the Clerk to return bid bonds to unsuccessful bidders, holding the next‑lowest bidder’s bond until the awarded bidder has signed the contract and filed the performance bond.
