Hampton Heritage Commission reviews membership requirements, approves minutes and sets May meeting

The Hampton Heritage Commission opened its April 9 meeting with a roll call of members present: Ann Carnaby (Chair), Christine Bushway (Vice Chair), Andy Morse, Donald Bliss (Select Board representative) and Ufuk Cav (alternate). Katherine Harake was absent.
Carnaby said Town ordinance Article 43 (2019) specifies that a member of the Planning Board shall be a commission member. Because Carnaby currently fills that Planning Board seat, she said the Select Board will need to appoint a Planning Board member; Carnaby said she would consult with the Town Manager’s office and expressed a desire to remain on the commission.
On a motion by Andy Morse, seconded by Christine Bushway, the commission voted to approve the draft minutes of Feb. 12, 2026. The vote was recorded 4‑0‑1, with Donald Bliss abstaining; the motion was adopted. The commission set its next meeting for Thursday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the Select Board Room.
Christine Bushway moved and Andy Morse seconded to adjourn; the vote was 5‑0‑0 and the meeting ended at 7:02 p.m. The minutes were signed 'Respectfully submitted' by Donald P. Bliss.
