The Solano County Board of Supervisors approved a tentative successor Memorandum of Understanding with the attorneys’ bargaining unit (Unit 1), represented by Chauffeurs, Teamsters & Helpers Local 150, on June 2, 2026.
Nyjah Edward, the county’s human resources director, told the board the unit had ratified the MOU, which includes a base wage reopener and pay-parity side letter similar to the county’s other unions. Edward recommended the board approve the agreement and direct the director of human resources to prepare and execute the final MOU consistent with the tentative agreements.
The clerk called for a motion and the board approved the item by a 4–0 recorded vote. The board’s action authorizes the HR director and county administrative officer to execute the finalized MOU and make technical, non‑substantive adjustments as needed.
What was on the record: the clerk read the title and key directives of the resolution accepting the tentative agreement; Edward said the parties had met and conferred and that only one bargaining unit remained outstanding in broader county contract negotiations.
Next steps: HR will prepare the finalized Memorandum of Understanding consistent with the tentative agreements, obtain signatures, and return any substantive exceptions to the board for further action if needed.
