The Kenowa Hills Public Schools Board of Education voted unanimously April 30 to invite three candidates for second-round superintendent interviews.
Member Courtade moved, and Member Hart supported, a motion to invite Balingit, Randy Barton and Dr. Cherie Horner back for a second interview scheduled for May 14 in the Middle School LGI. The board recorded a roll call vote under Report 26-037; the motion carried 7-0.
The action followed interviews of candidate Randy Barton and candidate Dr. Cherie Horner during the special meeting at Kenowa Hills Middle School. No members of the public addressed the board during the public-comment period.
Mr. Ingall briefed the board on procedures and expectations for the final interviews, including logistics for the May 14 session. The board also approved the meeting agenda at the start of the session by a 7-0 vote.
The board listed upcoming meetings and events including a Committee of the Whole workshop on May 4, the May 14 special meeting for second-round superintendent interviews, a retirement celebration and regular meeting on May 18, Pathways graduation on May 26 and high school graduation on May 27. President LaBotz adjourned the meeting at 9:18 p.m.
