Birmingham Township approves minutes, pays $140,847.42 in bills and OKs siding replacement at 1011 Cedar Mill Lane

BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Township Board of Supervisors on Jan. 5 approved routine governance items including meeting minutes, vendor payments and a HARB Certificate of Appropriateness for siding replacement at 1011 Cedar Mill Lane.
The board approved the Dec. 1, 2025 minutes on a motion by Vice-Chairman Michael Shiring and second by Supervisor J. Daniel Hill. Chairman Scott Boorse moved to approve minutes from the Dec. 22, 2025 special meeting (to enter an agreement with Chester County for property tax collection); Vice-Chairman Shiring seconded and the minutes were approved with two in favor and Supervisor Hill recorded as abstaining because he was not in attendance at that special meeting.
Supervisor Hill moved to approve bills presented for payment beginning Dec. 2, 2025; Vice-Chairman Shiring seconded and the bills were unanimously approved. The minutes report General Fund bills totaled $140,847.42 and list a detailed check register in the meeting packet. The register includes vendor payments such as Arro Consulting ($25,519.45), New Holland Auto Group ($46,799.00), Pennoni Associates ($6,736.25) and Brandywine Valley SPC ($6,056.96) among others.
On a separate item, the Historic Architecture Review Board considered an application from John and Diane Ponticello of 1011 Cedar Mill Lane to remove stucco and replace it with Hardie Plank fiber cement siding in Evening Blue and smooth Hardie trim in Navajo Beige. Vice-Chairman Shiring moved to approve the Certificate of Appropriateness; Supervisor J. Daniel Hill seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
