The Jackson County Board of Commissioners approved an exclusive negotiating agreement with Rogue Hangars, LLC that gives the company a defined period to negotiate a ground lease for about 6,750 square feet of county-owned land at Rogue Valley International–Medford Airport.
County Administrator Danny Jordan explained that "Jackson County has vacant land available for lease at the Rogue Valley International–Medford Airport to construct facilities as approved by the County," and that the agreement will allow the applicant to negotiate terms for constructing and maintaining an aircraft hangar on the site.
Commissioner Randy Sparacino moved to approve Order No. 116-26; Commissioner Colleen Roberts seconded the motion. Commissioner Rick Dyer, Chair, and Commissioners Sparacino and Roberts voted aye and the motion passed. The order authorizes staff to proceed with exclusive negotiations but does not by itself finalize a lease or authorize construction; any lease or permitting actions would follow separate approvals and required processes.
