At its March 9 meeting the Garden City Public Library Board of Trustees approved paid sick leave for Account Clerk Linda DaSilva through April 13, 2026, or an earlier date should she be able to return, consistent with the contract between the Village and the Civil Service Employees' Association Local 882 AFSCME. Trustee Mary Maguire moved the authorization; Trustee Paul O'Grady seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The Board also reviewed a disciplinary matter and voted to suspend a patron for one year. Trustee Maguire moved for suspension and Trustee O'Grady seconded; the motion was approved unanimously.
