On June 2 the Otoe County Board of Commissioners designated the State Print Shop to facilitate printing and mailing of the 2026 Joint Public Hearing postcards at an estimated cost of $0.62 per postcard. Commissioner Freshman moved to designate the State Print Shop; Commissioner Cole seconded, and the motion passed with Commissioners Crownover, Cole, Sornson and Freshman voting aye.
Highway Supervisor Brian Briley presented a road report to the board; the minutes record the presentation but do not include details of the report.
Later in the meeting Commissioner Freshman moved, and Commissioner Crownover seconded, to enter closed session to discuss personnel issues. Chairman Sornson announced that personnel matters would be discussed and that no action would be taken during closed session. The board entered closed session at 8:52 a.m. The board reconvened the regular meeting at 10:00 a.m. after a motion by Commissioner Cole, seconded by Commissioner Freshman. The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m.; the minutes were certified by Jenny Bassinger, Otoe County Clerk.
