The Lynn Township Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a series of routine and land‑use actions during its April 9 meeting in New Tripoli.
The board granted conditional final approval for a two‑lot minor subdivision for Brian Gibson after Lehigh Engineering representative Brad Rock presented the plan and the supervisors approved deferrals of waivers 1–5 and final conditional approval based on a KCE engineering letter dated March 3, 2026. Solicitor Marc Fisher said he added a notation to the plan referencing a variance court case affecting the remaining subdivision calculation.
Supervisors also approved a March 25, 2026 request from KCE to reduce Madison Village’s letter of credit by $1,040,000, leaving $625,000 in security. Vice Chairman Frederick Najarian moved the action and Member Ronald Jerdon seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
The board voted to adopt Resolution 2026‑14 to include Keith Harwick’s 13.758‑acre parcel (PIN 540870453489) in the township’s Agricultural Security Area after Solicitor Marc Fisher opened a public hearing and no members of the public spoke. Separately, supervisors accepted an Ag Security proposal from Eric and Cheyenne Barr and directed staff and the solicitor to proceed with paperwork.
The supervisors authorized Solicitor Marc Fisher to prepare a municipal lien on the property at 8307 Creamery Rd., New Tripoli (PIN 5428512896361) to recover unpaid engineering and legal fees related to stormwater and review services; the motion carried unanimously.
On finance and treasury motions, the board approved renewing REC CD #4199 and Equip CD #4280 for 13 months at 3.25% (maturing 6/3/27) and directed that CR CD #0115 (due 4/14) not be renewed and instead deposited into the General Fund. The board also passed Resolution 2026‑13 to open and maintain township accounts and to open a Veterans Fund certificate of deposit for $80,000; supervisors discussed that the Veterans Committee treasurer should manage the account and that the committee should consider forming its own 501(c)(3).
Supervisors accepted and awarded the lowest highlighted bids for 2026 stone and bituminous materials as presented in the bid tabulation. The board also agreed to split an estimated $27,000 paving cost for the NW Recreation parking lot with Heidelberg, Lowhill and Weisenberg townships and directed Road Master Matt Henderson to coordinate manpower.
All motions listed in the agenda were moved, seconded and carried unanimously by the board unless otherwise noted. Meeting business concluded with routine announcements and adjournment at 7:53 p.m.
