Votes at a glance: Bayside board approves consent agenda, grants, CUP and borrowing intent

The Village of Bayside Board of Trustees unanimously approved a multi-item consent agenda on June 19 that included minutes, financial statements and summaries of disbursements, liquor license applications for Sendiks Bayside LLC and Otto’s Bayside Wine and Spirits, Class B license applications for Natural Events Inc. and Ginza II Fox Point, a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources recycling grant of $25,736.63, a Wisconsin Department of Revenue Innovation Planning Grant and contract for $37,750, purchase of Badger Books, the 2024 village audit, Resolution 25-11 (NR 208 compliance maintenance annual report) and Resolution 25-12 amending the 2025 annual program budget.

Trustees then approved Resolution 25-13, authorizing the village’s intent to borrow funds to support a three-year cycle of road and sanitary sewer capital projects and permitting reimbursement of costs incurred prior to borrowing. The village expects the borrowing to be completed in September 2025; the village’s financial advisor will present detailed plans at the board’s July meeting.

The board also accepted the May 2025 Bayside Brief monthly operational snapshot and approved a conditional use permit for Sia’s Alterations to operate at 333 W. Brown Deer Road, Suite H. All motions on these items were carried unanimously.

Procedural motions included adjourning to a closed session under Section 19.85(1)(g) to confer with legal counsel regarding the North Shore Library Foundation and subsequently reconvening with no action taken. The meeting adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
