The committee resolved to approve up to a maximum of $2,500 to pay AEA for Section 1 services (DOT mapping/property-line research, field survey, base-map preparation). The resolution authorizes Pat Hackett to negotiate the scope and payment with AEA and to order the work only if he can keep it at or below the $2,500 limit.
Committee members emphasized fiscal prudence during discussion about ensuring the committee would not overpay AEA while getting the feasibility work started. Minutes record the action as approved unanimously.
Next steps recorded in the minutes included delivering an executed agreement and a $1,000 retainer so AEA could begin the survey work and produce a base map to guide design decisions.
