Contractor says Dutch John water treatment plant nearing completion of remote-operation systems

The Daggett County Municipal Building Authority received an update on the Dutch John water treatment plant during its June 2 meeting. The chair introduced Jeff McCarty of Sunrise as being on the call; a representative reported the project remains on track.
The representative said crews are working on software and installation to enable remote operation of the plant and that the work is expected to be completed "by the end of this month or 1st part of July." Roofing work on the older building is also underway, and staff indicated the plan is to remove the old system once the new treatment plant is fully operational.
Board members asked which project was associated with a State of Utah Division of Finance lease-revenue entry of about $52,000; staff said that entry pertains to the water treatment plant (reported split roughly as $45,000 and $7,002.35). No formal action or vote was taken on the project update during the meeting.
The authority noted the update as part of routine project oversight; members were also notified of a construction meeting for the Health Business Community Center later in the week.
