The Woolwich Township Committee unanimously adopted a change order for Locke Avenue Improvements Phase I to add field lighting and approved supplemental engineering services on Feb. 17.
Resolution R-2026-63A authorizes Change Order No. 2 to Wyndham Construction, LLC, not to exceed $723,519.82, for additional lighting installation at Fields F, G, H and I. Committeeman Frederick said his lighting questions had been addressed after speaking with the project representative; one adjustment moved Field F poles 15–20 feet for the goal area without increasing cost. Township staff estimated annual electricity costs for the new LED fixtures at about $4,500.
The committee also adopted R-2026-66 to authorize up to $35,270 in additional compensation to Remington & Vernick Engineers for survey, design, review and contractor oversight related to the lighting work; the cost was reduced by omitting a less-likely utility transformer option, per the township engineer. The administrator approved the revised scope and the committee voted to adopt both resolutions on roll call.
