Lincoln County Schools celebrates nearly 900 graduates, $30M in scholarship offers and spring athletic honors

He reminded families the first day of school for 2026–27 is Aug. 13 and noted central services’ summer hours.
The board honored numerous student achievements in arts and athletics. A presenter recognized North Lincoln High School’s success at the regional high‑school musical theater awards (referred to in the meeting as the Blumey awards), noting 11 nominations and four category wins for the school’s production of Hadestown. The presenter said winners advance through additional adjudication and could move toward the national stage (the Jimmy Awards in New York City).
David Abraham, the county athletic director, highlighted spring athletic honors across the district, naming athletes and coaches for conference and state recognition. He identified regional and state placings in track and field and detailed soccer and baseball accomplishments — including a North Lincoln baseball appearance in the state championship game and conference awards such as player and coach of the year.
