LONDONDERRY — The Senior Resource Committee moved forward with logistics for the town’s Old Home Day booth and a parallel senior expo, agreeing to a vendor-fee structure and outreach plan while leaving payment channels flexible for now.
Chair (S1) outlined the booth plan for Saturday, Aug. 15, and the committee agreed to staff shifts by the hour. The committee will prepare sign-up sheets at the July 7 meeting and gather posters, a tent and other supplies. Members suggested the committee use the Old Home Day booth to promote the Jim Green award and the upcoming senior expo.
On vendor fees, the committee settled on a simple policy: nonprofit organizations would be admitted free; for-profit vendors would pay $50 for a table. S1 and S2 discussed outreach targets—senior center, libraries, churches and social media—and agreed to send vendor outreach in early July so vendors can reserve limited table space on a first-come, first-served basis.
Committee members discussed payment logistics and IT constraints. Because the town’s email and servers have strict filtering and online payment integration may not be available immediately, the group agreed to accept checks or cash for 2026 while exploring online payment and confirmation receipts for future events. The committee asked Kelly to finalize a flyer and application and to coordinate with town IT and the recreation director to ensure forms and confirmations will work when deployed.
Next steps: finalize vendor flyer and application, set an end-of-July deadline for vendor applications (exact date to be confirmed at the July 7 meeting), and distribute outreach materials across identified channels.
