"We didn't have any opposition," Josh said. The commission opened and closed the public hearing with no speakers and approved the request.
Josh described a separate request to remove split zoning for a parcel owned by Hilda Miguel Quierano so a mobile home could be placed outside the mapped flood zone; staff recommended approval contingent on the mobile home falling outside the floodplain. That proposal also passed without public opposition.
A third case for a Southern Natural Gas property sought a down‑zone to light industrial from a heavier industrial designation and a communications‑tower overlay; staff said the requested change aligned with surrounding land use and PNZ recommended approval. The commission approved that case as well.
