The Union City Borough Council voted unanimously June 25 on a slate of routine motions ranging from tax-exoneration resolutions to funding authorizations for road work and grant applications.

Council then approved two tax-exoneration resolutions for properties purchased by the Erie County Land Bank (11 Maple Street and 48 Atlantic Street).
On infrastructure funding, the council approved a resolution to submit a $400,000 Multimodal Transportation Fund grant application to cover additional costs for the Willow Street bridge replacement (motion by Councilor Osborn, seconded by Councilor Kerns). The council also authorized payment on a Cross Paving invoice of $104,740.81, allocating $92,130.00 from Liquid Fuels and $12,610.81 from the general fund (motion by Councilor Steadman, seconded by Councilor Kerns). Separately, the council agreed to apply $15,625 in County Aid to the Suit-Kote seal coat project (motion by Councilor Joyce, seconded by Councilor Osborn).
Other motions approved unanimously included awarding recommended Renaissance grant applications for the current period, opening a PLGIT Checking & Prime account to transfer approximately $140,000 from the capital equipment account, and authorizing the posting and sale of removed playground equipment on Municibid.
All formal motions recorded in the minutes were carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:21 P.M., followed by an executive session on personnel and contracts with no action taken.
