Venango County names Michael Anderson director of finance; park opens and board proclaims Remake Learning Days

The Venango County commissioners on May 12 recorded the retirement of Director of Finance Diona Brick and welcomed Michael Anderson as her replacement. Diona Brick introduced Michael Anderson and said, “we are excited to have him,” according to the minutes.
Park Director Kara Kauffman reported on Two Mile Run County Park activities: the campground is fully open, the beach is scheduled to open June 6, Master Gardeners will renovate several park gardens this year, and the park will host workshops, archery and boat-race events this season. The board received the update.
County administration business included approval of a proclamation for Motorcycle Awareness Month and a proclamation for Remake Learning Days. Commissioner Kenneth J. Bryan moved to approve the Remake Learning Days proclamation and Commissioner Timothy M. Heffernan seconded; the motion passed with all commissioners voting aye. During the public-comment portion, Kelsi Boyles, Delea Motter and Randy Stachelrodt spoke about Remake Learning Days activities in Venango County.
The meeting adjourned at 5:12 p.m.
