The Parks and Recreation Council approved the April 1 meeting summary after a motion from Vice-Chair Louise Flinn and a second from Alissa Martucci.
The council welcomed new member Marissa Hoer, noted two additional recent appointees were not present, and reviewed committee reports. Chair Trevor Robinson reported on the April 9 Intergovernmental Parks Work Group meeting, where Chapel Hill and Hillsborough presented greenway plans and DEAPR presented the J Branch Rail Trail Feasibility Study.
Robinson adjourned the meeting at 7:50 p.m.; the council set its next meeting for June 3 in Hillsborough. No votes on policy items or funding were taken at the May 6 meeting aside from approval of the prior meeting summary.
