The Turkey River Recreational Corridor Board voted Feb. 3 to approve its 2026 Turkey River Safari site list, adding Lincoln Park in Clermont, and also approved Pedal Paddle rack maps and distribution plans. The board approved the meeting agenda, the December minutes and the presented financials before taking the project votes.
Mallory Hanson, the TRRC director, reviewed financials and presented draft Pedal Paddle rack cards and maps. Chris Schoen recommended edits to the draft maps; Schoen moved to approve the Pedal Paddle materials with those edits and Roger Buchholz seconded. The motion carried.
Kenny Slocum moved to approve the proposed 2026 Turkey River Safari sites with the addition of Lincoln Park; Roger Buchholz seconded and the motion was approved. Hanson said the Pedal Paddle maps and rack cards will be distributed at in‑person events alongside Turkey River Water Trail maps and Northeast Iowa Bike Trail maps.
The board completed these actions as part of a broader agenda that also included project updates on trails and Motor Mill stabilization. The meeting record shows the votes were recorded as "Approved" but does not list a roll-call tally.
The board set its next meeting for March 3, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in Elkader.
