Smith’s 743 Lisbon Street site plan moved to public hearing after board requests parking details

The Planning Board agreed to move the application for a commercial site at 743 Lisbon Street (Jason Smith, 743 Lisbon Street, LLC) toward a public hearing after asking the applicant to provide clearer, scaled parking dimensions.

Applicant Jason Smith told the board he plans a store with gravel parking and space for food trucks and vendors, and that he has engineered erosion-control plans and contour maps. He said the food-truck spaces would be roughly 10 by 20 feet and that standard parking stalls would be 9 by 20 feet. North Star Planning staff and other board members said several submission items were addressed but requested a more refined drawing showing exact parking dimensions, the location of the concrete pad and how vendor parking relates to prior DEP revegetation requirements.

Board members compared the proposal to other town event parking (for example, a local town parking area used for weekly events) and said delineated measurements or simple dimensions would be sufficient to confirm the number of parking spaces and internal circulation. One board member moved to accept the application as complete contingent on a refined, measured parking sketch; another seconded and the board agreed to schedule a public hearing when the applicant files the clarified drawing.

The applicant said he will provide painted-line plans and a measured drawing to North Star and town staff ahead of the next meeting. The board noted the public hearing notice can be issued once staff confirms the submission meets completeness requirements.
