The Eldorado Area Water & Sanitation District board unanimously approved two resolutions on Dec. 17 authorizing the disposal, by sale, of worn-out water meters and hydrants and of surplus office furniture.
Director David Burling moved to approve Resolutions No. 26-12-02 and No. 26-12-03; Treasurer Elizabeth Roghair seconded the motion. The board voted 4–0 in favor.
The approvals implement standard surplus-disposal procedures for the district. A public comment submitted by resident Joe Loewy, read into the record by President John Calzada, urged the board to adopt the resolutions and said standard disposal rules help protect the district from “unfair practices and accusations.”
The meeting minutes do not specify the expected proceeds from the sales or the vendor(s) to be used; those details were not presented at the Dec. 17 meeting.
The board took the vote during Agenda Item 2 following reports from management and operations. No amendments to the resolutions were recorded in the meeting minutes. The board adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
