Amanda Olstead and Lisa Martineau, co-marketing directors for Hampton Beach, updated the Hampton Beach Village District at the May 13 meeting on outreach and events designed to draw visitors this summer.
Olstead said the district is running digital and media advertisements, highlighted an ad placed in Canada Magazine, and said she plans to meet with WMUR to boost awareness in New Hampshire and New York. She announced Toast to the Coast is scheduled for June 24 and that tickets cost $50; organizers are seeking sponsors and can be contacted at Amanda@hamptonchamber.com.
Martineau said the Car Show was canceled because of weather and suggested Columbus Day weekend as a possible reschedule date. She listed upcoming performances (Eastern Band on May 16, Continentals on May 24, Winnacunnet Chorus and Jazz Band on May 26) and confirmed fireworks would begin on July 1. She added the district saw about 24,000 new hits on social media, indicating increased interest in Hampton Beach.
No new marketing budget or sponsorship commitments were approved at the meeting; directors sought sponsors for ticketed events.
