Police Jury declares dozens of vehicles and equipment surplus for public auction

During administrative reports on Sept. 3 the Jury approved declaring a long list of vehicles and equipment as surplus and authorized sale by public auction.
Public Works Director Mr. Murray presented the list that included Ford F-150 pickups (2008, 2011), International 4900 dump trucks, a 2006 Ford E-350 van, Sterling SC80000 pothole patcher, graders, rollers, multiple implements and trailers, and other equipment. Asset numbers and VINs were recorded in the minutes for each item. The Jury moved to declare the vehicles and equipment surplus and allow sale at public auction; the motion passed without opposition.
The minutes direct the Public Works Department and treasurer to process auction preparation and list assets with the Clerk's office per parish auction procedures.
