Police Jury awards $944,271 Camp Road contract and approves sewer project completions and change order

Ouachita Parish Engineer Mr. Crosby presented bid results for the Camp Road project at the Aug. 19 meeting and recommended awarding the contract to the lowest conforming bidder, Amethyst Construction, Inc., for $944,271.10. The Jury voted to accept the bid and authorized the president to sign all necessary contract documents.
The Jury also accepted the substantial completion for Connie Lynn Drive and for the Country Estates West/Lift Station G-1 replacement sewer project. Additionally, the Jury approved Change Order No. 2 for the Country Estates West sewer and lift station project. Each engineering recommendation and associated motion was approved without opposition.
Motions to accept the bids, substantial completions, and change order were moved and seconded by Jury members and recorded as passing without opposition; the engineer also provided updates on other ongoing projects.
