Police Jury authorizes sale of industrial parcel and multiple adjudicated properties

The Ouachita Parish Police Jury on Sept. 3 approved several property transactions and authorized terms for future adjudicated-property sales.
Ordinance No. 9493 authorizes sale of roughly 4.3 acres in the West Ouachita Industrial Park to Chandler Land & Site Services, Inc. for $59,700. The ordinance states the purchaser intends to establish or expand a construction office and shop and schedules any required public hearing; roll call showed unanimous adoption.
Separately, the Jury adopted Ordinance No. 9496, which authorizes acts of sale for nine adjudicated parcels offered at public auction. The ordinance enumerates parcel numbers, purchasers and bids, sets minimum bids, requires that sales be without warranty, reserves mineral rights to the Parish, and requires E&P Consulting, LLC to certify title and notice steps (mortgage/conveyance/probate/civil records checks and notice to interested parties) before closing.
The Jury also adopted Ordinance No. 9499 to authorize sale by public auction of four additional adjudicated parcels, with the same closing and certification requirements. The minutes list purchasers and bid amounts for each parcel.
All sales were approved with the stipulated conditions in the ordinances; the minutes show formal adoption by roll call and direct the Police Jury President to execute cash sales consistent with the stated conditions.
