Licenses: The council approved a second-class victualler license for 3 M Boca Cafe Inc at 3400 Mendon Road, a one-day fireworks permit for Tucker Field (July 3), and a special-event entertainment license for El Rodio Family Mexican Restaurant for its July 4 patio event; all three passed unanimously (7-0).
Enterprise and program funds: Ordinance 26-13 (sewer fund operating budget for FY 2027) passed by roll call 6-1, with Councilor Bradley recorded in the negative. Ordinance 26-14 (water fund operating budget) likewise passed 6-1. Ordinance 26-15 (recreation fund) passed unanimously 7-0.
Appointments and referrals: The council approved the appointment of Sarah Cleary as deputy finance director (7-0). Council also referred Ordinance 26-16 (truck-route code amendments) to the ordinance subcommittee for further review.
Resolution: The mayor and council agreed to table Resolution 26-28 (unsynchronized tax levy for portions of FY 2027–28) to the June 8 meeting to allow any last-minute adjustments tied to other budget votes.
Next steps: With these votes the council completed several statutory steps needed to put budgets into effect; staff were directed to publish adopted figures and follow up on any items (such as a potential master lease) that may be brought forward separately.
