The resolutions were then moved for adoption by Alder Prophet and seconded by Alder Presley; the clerk recorded the vote in support and the resolutions were adopted.
Alder Hutchison, addressing constituents in District 2, clarified the local change: "We had a new polling place last time we voted at the university, and, we have changed that to now the Celebration Church," she said, urging residents to note the switch.
Jeffreys described the planned outreach: "Michael and I and another staff member are gonna be working on a public relations campaign for those new awards... we'll use media social media, in order to communicate the message that the polling location is now at celebration" and on Election Day staff will placard UWGB for those wards.
The council approved several other routine items during the meeting, including minutes, appointments and departmental reports, then adjourned.
The council did not provide a detailed ward-by-ward roll call in the transcript; clerk remarks reference three affected wards and list Celebration Church and 1 Way Christian Church as fall locations, with UWGB to be placarded on Election Day.
