4A EDC board reappoints Mayor Kane as president, Councilman Weathers as vice president; approves minutes

At the start of the meeting the board moved to appoint officers and approve minutes from the August 8, 2023 regular meeting.
A board member moved to nominate Mayor Kane as president and Councilman Derek Weathers as vice president; the motion was seconded and carried without objection. Board members noted that formal appointments had last occurred in 2023 and that the outgoing configuration had the same officeholders serving in those roles.
Earlier in the meeting the board also considered and approved the minutes from the Aug. 8, 2023 regular meeting. The record shows Mr. Weathers moved to approve the minutes and Mr. Jones seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
After completing the organizational items the chair turned the meeting to the finance department to present the FY2025 budget and then adjourned the 4A session so the council meeting could begin.
