Walton Town Board approves minutes, humane-society agreement, acceptance of auction bids and vouchers

The board later approved Resolution #74 accepting an annual agreement with the Humane Society of Central Delaware County to handle stray or lost dogs brought in by the Walton Dog Control Officer at a fee of $40 per dog; the motion was moved by Armstrong and seconded by Rodriguez-Betancourt and recorded as approved by voice vote.
Highway Superintendent Jeff Offnick presented bid amounts from Auction International for surplus highway equipment and materials. Examples disclosed to the board included a York broom for $250, a truck for $760, a truck box for $150, a military truck for $2,025, another broom for $580, and miscellaneous tires in lots for $155–$165. The board accepted the auction bids under Resolution #75 (motion by Armstrong, second by Leonard Govern) and approved the sale as presented.
Finally, the board approved vouchers for payment under Resolution #76. The town approved vouchers across funds, including General Fund A vouchers #102–119 totaling $44,758.83; General OV B #6–7 totaling $827.50; General HWY DA #48–56 totaling $7,069.94; and OV HWY DB #17–22 totaling $33,194.57. The motion to approve vouchers was made by Councilman Armstrong and seconded by Councilwoman Patty Wood and carried by voice vote.
Each of the resolutions was recorded as carried by voice vote with the shorthand 'All in favor, motion carried'; the transcript does not include a roll-call tally of yes/no votes or recorded abstentions. No further substantive debate or amendments were recorded on these items at the June 10 meeting.
