Falcon Heights council moves to revoke Crocus Hill Acupuncture business and massage licenses over state compliance issue

Falcon Heights City Administrator Jack Linehan told the City Council that on Jan. 29 the Minnesota Department of Revenue notified the city of a license revocation action affecting French Maid Inc., dba Crocus Hill Acupuncture at 1579 Hamline Avenue North, because the business is not in good standing with the state. Linehan said the city has not received a certificate of compliance from the business required to maintain city licenses. The revocation deadline is March 11, and Linehan said that if the city receives the certificate before that date the license will not be revoked.
After hearing no public comment at the council's public hearing, Councilmember Wassenberg moved to adopt Resolution 26-14 to revoke the 2026 municipal business license and 2026 massage therapy license issued to French Maid Inc. The motion carried unanimously, 5-0.
The revocation stems from the state Department of Revenue’s notice to the city and the absence of the certificate of compliance the city requires to hold a municipal business license. The council did not record any conditions or a stay of the resolution; the city indicated the administrative deadline of March 11 as the date by which the certificate must be received to avoid formal revocation.
