The New Harmony Town Council adopted two land-use measures May 6: an updated subdivision ordinance presented by Kevin Smedley and Chapter 3 of the town’s Land Use ordinance.
Kevin Smedley presented the revised subdivision ordinance, which he said was required by the state and had been reviewed and revised by the planning commission after a prior hearing. Councilmember Pace moved to accept the updated ordinance; Councilmember Larsen seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Separately, the council reviewed Chapter 3 of the Land Use ordinance. Councilmember Allan moved to adopt Chapter 3 with Larsen seconding; the council approved the chapter by unanimous roll call vote.
Meeting minutes show both items were approved without recorded abstentions or opposing votes. The council did not record substantive amendments to the ordinances in the minutes; planning commission review was noted for the subdivision ordinance.
