Lower Pottsgrove schedules Snell Road concrete pour, High Street wall repairs; North Adams preconstruction pending PennDOT

Township Manager Edward C. Wagner told the Lower Pottsgrove Board on March 20 that multiple bridge and roadway projects are moving forward. "The concrete deck for Snell Road Bridge is scheduled to be poured beginning Tuesday," Wagner said, adding that truck maneuverability and pour sequencing have been coordinated with the contractor.
Wagner said repair work on the High Street Bridge at Sunnybrook will begin Monday, March 24, and should take between three and four weeks. He stressed the work will focus on the wall that failed on Feb. 13 and not the western arch previously mentioned; current traffic patterns will remain in place during repairs. After repairs, the bridge will retain a 15-ton restriction, with a 22-ton allowance for certain combinations.
A contractor kick-off meeting for the North Adams Street Bridge is scheduled pending final PennDOT approval; Wagner said a preconstruction meeting will be scheduled after PennDOT signs off. He also reported that the fence contractor for Coventry Christian was replaced and the new contractor will begin work Monday, and that residents near a recently completed camera-and-light installation reported no further incidents in their development.
Wagner also announced the township sold a Kohler 30W generator located at 1963 East High Street for $5,000 (reserve $4,000) at auction. Commissioners praised staff and the township engineering contractor for coordinating the ongoing projects and keeping schedules on track.
