The Menomonee Falls Plan Commission recommended approval June 2 of the preliminary plat for Fox River Falls Addition No. 5, a proposed low-density residential expansion on roughly 111 acres that would add about 190 single-family lots.
Planner Amy Bennett told commissioners the site—part of the former Silver Spring Golf Course—has been discussed in prior meetings and staff is presenting this as the applicant’s final preliminary plat submittal. The plat proposes lot sizes ranging from about 12,000 to 47,000 square feet (average just over 15,000 square feet) and includes an environmental corridor; staff recommended approval subject to 38 staff conditions, nine county conditions and additional recommended items and required Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) reviews.
Commissioners expressed support for the final-phase plat as presented; a motion to recommend approval was made and seconded, and the commission recorded unanimous support. Staff will return recommended conditions and the final plat to the Village Board for decision and any remaining county or state reviews.
