At the Jan. 5 council meeting Montoursville Fire Company representative Josh Konkle told the council the department handled a little over 1,800 calls in 2025 (ambulance and fire), and that 42% of those calls occurred inside the borough.
Police Chief Gyurina reviewed the December 2025 police report and described it as a slow month for the department. The chief also publicly commended Police Secretary Kathy Sampsell for organizing the department’s giving tree.
Council did not take formal action in response to the reports; both items were received as informational.
