Montoursville Borough Council elected Dr. Tina Kline as council president and Misty Emick as vice president at its Jan. 5 meeting, then approved a package of reappointments and committee appointments.
Mayor Swank called for nominations for Council President; Dr. Tina Kline was nominated by Mark Tillson and elected after other nominations were declined. Council Vice President Misty Emick was nominated by Dr. Kline and approved; Mark Tillson was named Council President Pro Tem following a nomination by Vice President Emick.
The council approved a slate of reappointments and appointments presented by Dr. Kline, including Donna M. Taggart as Open Records Officer; Clifford Hoffman as Street and Water Project Coordinator; McCormick Law Firm as borough solicitor; Pysher & Associates and Levine Engineering, LLC as borough engineers; zoning and planning appointments and civil service commission appointments (Robert Brown and alternate Deborah Brown). Motion to approve the slate was made by Donald Konkle and seconded by Donald Boyles and carried.
Motion by Dr. Kline to approve Recreation Board appointments (Don Konkle Jr.) passed on a second by Misty Emick. The council also approved the Dec. 1, 2025 minutes.
