Lessons will be delivered at Waterford Kettering High School and were described as serving up to 80–100 children per offering; programs focus outreach to areas such as Pontiac.
County leaders characterized the MOU as a continuation of an established partnership with the Metroparks, which has provided similar support for several years. Commissioners emphasized the program’s public‑safety value after a summer with several drownings and thanked staff for maintaining the collaboration.
