Council approves salary amendment, property interest resolution and multiple routine items unanimously

The Greenwood Common Council recorded unanimous votes on multiple measures at its June 1 session.

On the agenda the council approved the minutes and then moved to Ordinance 2617, a proposal to reassign the right-of-way inspector/utilities locator classification and adjust its salary maximum. The Director of Human Resources explained the re-evaluation of the classification and proposed increasing the salary maximum to $2,124.15; council members moved to amend the ordinance and the roll-call vote was recorded as 7–0 in favor.

The council also carried Resolution 2605, an agreement expressing interest in purchasing certain real property, by roll-call vote recorded as 7–0. Later the council considered Ordinance 2620 — a technical correction to a legal description for an annexation — and voted to suspend the rules to allow immediate second reading; that suspension and the subsequent second-reading action passed unanimously as recorded in the transcript.

During miscellaneous business the council entertained a series of CF1 items. The transcript records Mr. Hopper moving each item with Mr. Ley seconding; the motions were put to a voice or roll-call assent and the sequence of items was approved in series. The meeting concluded after brief checks for other business and a motion to adjourn.
