Commission holds first reading to allow ice vending machines in Neighborhood Commercial zones

The clerk indicated language changes were intended to align code terminology (from 'commercial general' to 'general commercial').
In the work session commissioners discussed carrying the item forward; in the regular meeting the item was formally presented as a first reading. Commissioners agreed to carry the ordinance forward for the next step in the legislative process. No public testimony was recorded on the topic during the meeting.
The ordinance remains at the first-reading stage and will return for further consideration and any required subsequent readings or public hearings before adoption.
