Oakview resident says decades of requests for infrastructure left unanswered, urges Lisle to show urgency

She contrasted Oakview’s experience with Ivanho, which she said received help after three years: "If three years produce action and 20 years produces waiting, residents are left with a difficult question. Why?" she asked.
Surreal listed specific unresolved items residents have raised over many years — questions about ownership, easements, deeds, infrastructure responsibility and water equity — and requested that the village provide documentation, a roadmap and measurable progress. "We deserve answers, documentation, a roadmap, and we deserve measurable progress," she said.
Mayor Mary Joe Mullen later clarified that much of the recent Ivanho work had been initiated at the request of the highway commissioner and that portions of Ivanho lie outside the village. Manager Cook also noted ongoing coordination with other agencies and that staff continue to pursue funding and interagency options. No formal board action was taken tonight; the comment was entered into the public record.
