City staff says Syracuse University data due in two weeks; council holds road-closure item

Eric said the delay is not a single bottleneck but reflects the "wealth of information" being compiled and verified: staff is working back as far as visual and aerial records allow and reconciling equipment and right-of-way usage with the ordinances and fee structure.
Because the information is still under review, the council agreed to hold item 13 and revisit it once staff has provided the completed dataset and accompanying analysis, targeting the study-session cycle in two weeks. The council did not take a final vote on the underlying ordinance or fee changes during the session.
The action keeps the issue on the agenda but pauses final consideration until the project team delivers full documentation and staff can confirm how the roadway was used and how fees should be applied.
