Acting Chair Harvey Teal and board members agreed on June 2, 2026, to postpone the public hearing on the American Tower special-use permit application until the applicant and the board can confirm required landowner signatures and public notice have been completed. The hearing had been scheduled for July 7.
A board member said the applicant indicated she would not be present and that the board had not yet received certain required signatures from the landowner. The board noted that although a prior meeting voted to schedule the July 7 hearing, the public notice for the hearing had not been published.
One board member confirmed they possess the applicant’s contact information and said that, in theory, the applicant could still deliver the paperwork in time for publication; otherwise the board agreed postponement was appropriate. A motion to postpone the public hearing was made and seconded; the transcript records the motion and second but does not include a roll-call vote tally for the postponement.
The board opened a public comment period and received no comments before the meeting moved on to other business.
