At a timed presentation that followed, health equity and community service organizations described Pride Month events: Laya Romero, health equity coordinator for Lake County Health Services, announced a Pride Fair set for June 28 at Austin Park (10 a.m.–3 p.m.) and cited county health disparities affecting LGBTQIA2S+ residents. Raven Wilchesky, representing Redwood Community Services’ Harbor Youth Resource Center, described a free Pride Prom for youth (ages 14–25) on June 13 at the Lake County Fairgrounds and said outreach flyers were available.
Board members and presenters framed the proclamation as recognition of community members, and staff said the county would work with public works to ensure placement and visibility of the flag during June.
